Ive been reading in the some of the post that he has been one for 7 yrs. I always thought he was only one for a couple years.

That is true. It has been almost three years since Dat moved to LA to seriously pursue comedy. Prior to that he held various jobs in order to make ends meet, a difficult thing sometimes, in San Diego! but when he wasn't working, he was performing and perfecting. Studying comedy night and day. To say that he has only been serious about comedy for a couple of years would not be true. He has ALWAYS been serious about comedy. There were a few times when he considered quitting, in order to have a "normal life" but conedy called. He just couldn't stay away.

but i think that a person's career as a comedian begins before the official career does.
whatever date is on your resume is never the true begining. dat has probably been making people laugh for a very long time. |

I like Dat but I think off the stage he is not funny at all. Im just going off of LCS.

oh but i meant the development of humor. not necessarily that dat is a walking joke machine, but the fact that his view on life has contributed to his sense of humor, and the road to perfecting the communication of his views started long before his formall career.
but yeah it's nice to have serious relief. |

On stage comedy and off stage comdey is so different. You could be hilarious on stage but not off stage and you could also be hilarious off stage but are terrible on stage. They are so different. I think being funny off stage is so much harder because you can't practice. You have to think of stuff right away.

I think not being funny off stage is a good quality for a comic. Most comics don't know when not to be funny. They just never turn off. It shows that Dat can be a series person. |
