I have to admit, I've never seen Dat Phan perform until last night. My boyfriend kept raving about how funny he was, so he convinced me to go to the show at UCR.

We just got out of work, went to dinner, and hurried back to campus to get good seats. I was really excited when I saw how many people showed up in the theatre just to see him.

We had a little preshow with Dat's friend, who did some of his skits and told us about how Dat started in this business.

And then the moment we've been waiting for... Dat came out from back, and the moment he started talking... everyone was laughing! I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard. The skits were very clever. And in many ways, his mom reminded me of my mom. And for a long time... I thought only my mom was weird! There have been so many times when our arguments made no sense anymore. And there were many times when she asked me if I was her mother too. hehe

Anyways, Dat, thank you for coming out to UCR. We loved you! The cd is hilarious, everyone should buy one!!!

My mom says that to me too.. well, when I show her how to do something another way, she asks if I'm her mother. heh
