Samsung DLP TV model # HL-R6167.
I have replaced the lamp once before and thought this time it was the same problem. On the main power switch on the tv it says in green light "lamp" this is with the new one in there. it makes the weird sound, but no picture. Is this a ballast issue? Please help, I have 2 spare lamps now. Thats bad ass, but I just need some confirmation on what troubleshooting route to take next.

Did you get the right color wheel for the chassis? Either L3 or L6. I think it is correspondent with the bulb code for L3 or L6. Anyone either what to comment on this issue?
