We are repairing a JVC HD-55G466 S/N - 1508411-AP. Installed new lamp and ballast and its showing dark, can u tell me what might be the problem and how do I go about fixing it? Thank You!(Lamp and Ballast are original)

Thank you for replying. The entire screen is dark. Can only see menu on screen or picture, in a dark room. This is the only problem the TV has. Other than that, everything is fine with it, that is the sound etc.

Have you cleaned the inside of the TV in the last 6 months? Normally dust & mold accumulates inside, and from the sound of it the light engine’s mirrors are clogged up. Try using a can of compress air and tell me if it works out for you.
