unusable signal

I have a rca HD50LPWYX2 and none of the inputs work. There is no picture or sound. HDMI input does not work and I get a weak signal when connecting directly to the cable input. Sources have been checked and they are producing a strong signal. Any suggestions for trouble shooting or making repairs? The error message on the TV is "unusable signal".
